How much discount do you get with Claude Pro annual billing?

Anonymous7/19/2026· Views 122
I'm currently on Claude Pro with monthly billing, and I'm thinking about switching to annual. When I check the billing page, I can't find exactly how much cheaper the annual plan works out per month. I'm also curious whether you get refunded for any remaining time if you cancel midway through an annual plan. If anyone's on annual billing, let me know how much savings you've actually felt compared to monthly.

Hi there, this is the mod team. To cut to the chase: annual billing is cheaper than monthly, and refund eligibility depends on your region. First, the pricing breakdown. Claude Pro is $20/month on monthly billing, or $17/month when you go annual (that's $200 upfront per year). So you save about $36 a year—roughly 15% off. Keep in mind this is the official USD pricing; if you're paying in KRW or another currency, card exchange rates and foreign transaction fees might change the actual savings. On refunds and cancellation: if you live in the EEA or UK, you can get a prorated refund within 14 days of purchase, according to the official support docs. For other regions (including Korea), there's no explicit 14-day refund guarantee in the docs—instead, refund requests get reviewed case-by-case by the support team. So it's not guaranteed that you'll automatically get back whatever's left on an annual plan if you cancel mid-year. This part is fuzzy, so we'd recommend asking support directly before you commit to annual billing. And if you're paying through Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms have their own separate refund policies. As for real-world value: we haven't run user surveys on this, so I can't give you a hard percentage on how much savings people actually feel. That said, if you plan to use Pro consistently every month, the math definitely works out in annual's favor. On the flip side, if your usage varies a lot or you might cancel within a few months, and you're in a region without the 14-day guarantee, it might make sense to stick with monthly for now. Detailed plan comparisons and how to switch are in the guide below.
