Status page looks fine but I keep getting disconnected—why?

Hello, admin here. To cut to the chase: the green status doesn't automatically mean your network is to blame for what you're experiencing. There could be two things happening at once. First, it helps to understand how status pages work. status.anthropic.com seems to update mainly based on full service outages or major feature-wide breakdowns. Partial slowdowns or interruptions limited to certain regions, specific user groups, or particular browser environments might not show up on the status page yet—or they might not be deemed significant enough to post about at that scale. That said, Anthropic hasn't published their exact criteria, so I can't be 100% certain about this. So to narrow down what's happening, try these steps in order: 1. On the same account, try connecting over mobile carrier data instead of Wi-Fi. If it drops at the same rate, the issue is more likely on the service side than your network. 2. Turn off all browser extensions and try in incognito mode. Ad blockers and security extensions sometimes cut off response streaming mid-stream. 3. If it only cuts out on certain conversations (ones with lots of content or attachments), it might be a load issue with that specific conversation. Try opening a fresh conversation and making the same request. 4. Check if similar complaints are popping up in communities or on social media around the same time. If multiple users are hitting this simultaneously, it's probably an issue the status page hasn't caught yet. Just steps 1 and 2 usually sort out most of it. If it cuts out consistently even on mobile data and in incognito mode, it's probably not your end—try again later, and if it keeps happening, consider reaching out to support. I've put together a quick guide below on how to check for outages in real time. https://usingclaude.com/ko/guides/troubleshooting/claude-status-check-guide
