Where exactly can I check my remaining Claude usage limit?

Anonymous9/19/2026· Views 62
While using it on the web, I suddenly got a usage limit exceeded message in the middle of a conversation, and there was no notification beforehand about how much was left. When I checked settings, I couldn't find anything like a percentage or remaining message count—am I the only one who can't find it? If there's a way to check the reset time in advance other than the message that appears in the chat window, please let me know.

Hello, this is the admin. To cut to the chase, there is a separate screen to check your usage limits, and you just haven't found where it is yet. You can also check the reset time in advance without any notice in the chat window. The location to check is as follows: 1. Click on the profile (avatar) in the bottom left on web or desktop app 2. Go to Settings and select the Usage menu On this screen, you can see the following information: 1. Current session: how much of your current 5-hour session limit you've used and how much time is left before the session ends 2. Weekly limits: when your weekly usage limit resets (Opus model and other models are displayed separately) 3. For Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans, usage against plan limits is also displayed as a percentage However, the screen layout may differ depending on account type, and there may be differences between accounts as to whether the same level of detailed percentages are exposed even on free plans. Since this part is uncertain, it's best to check it yourself on your actual screen based on your account. Regarding the situation where the limit was exceeded without notice in the middle of a conversation, it's not clear from the official documentation whether a warning banner always appears in the chat window beforehand. However, if you open the Usage screen above from time to time during conversations, you can understand in real-time how full your session is, and this helps prevent sudden overages. I've put together more detailed information about usage structure, resets and clearing, and ways to reduce usage, so please refer to it. https://usingclaude.com/ko/pricing/plans/claude-usage-limits-guide
