Does Claude actually produce PowerPoint drafts that are usable?

I needed to make a presentation, so I asked Claude to draft the slide structure and content. The text comes out okay, but Claude doesn't actually output a PowerPoint file or handle the design for you, right? In the end I had to manually transfer everything myself, which turned out to be more work than I expected. If anyone knows how to use Claude more efficiently for PowerPoint work, I'd love to hear about it. Or maybe it's just better to use a different AI tool for this?

Claude for PowerPoint add-in. An officially released PowerPoint add-in by Anthropic that can be installed from the Microsoft Marketplace. A sidebar opens within PowerPoint, and when you give instructions in natural language, slides are directly generated or modified. The key features are as follows. 1. It reads existing templates (slide master, fonts, colors) and creates slides that fit your brand guidelines. 2. You can convert bullet points to native PowerPoint diagrams and charts. 3. You can pinpoint edit just specific slides without regenerating the entire deck. 4. If you input PDF or Excel files, it converts that content into slides. 5. It also supports automatic speaker notes generation. The plan requirements are Pro ($20/month), Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. The free plan is not supported.
