Found a Claude design system site — is this official?

Anonymous7/14/2026· Views 100
I came across a site with Claude colors, fonts, and component guidelines, but I can't tell if Anthropic runs it directly or if someone made it separately. I'm thinking about giving my side project a Claude-ish look, but I'm not sure about copyright issues. Has anyone used it?

Hello, this is from our team. Bottom line: the site you mentioned is likely not an official Anthropic resource. Be careful how you use it. After checking, most pages that list Claude's color codes or fonts (like Poppins, Lora) turn out to be community-made reference materials or third-party skill collections. Anthropic hasn't officially published a brand guidelines site saying "feel free to use this design system." So even if something looks well-organized, it's probably an unofficial doc someone reverse-engineered and compiled, not official Anthropic material. On copyright, here's how to think about it: 1. Color codes or font names by themselves aren't typically copyright-protected, so there's low legal risk in that regard. 2. However, Anthropic's partner guidelines do say that when you build Claude-related products, keep your own branding distinct so it doesn't look like a Claude or Anthropic product. If your side project starts looking too much like Claude—same logo, typeface, and color palette—it could become a trademark and brand confusion issue rather than a copyright one. Practical advice: 1. Use it for inspiration, but don't replicate it exactly. Take cues from the color palette or font pairing, then make it your own with a different color scheme. 2. Never use Claude's logo, signature icons, or wordmarks as-is. 3. If this is commercially sensitive, first check if that site's official by looking at the domain (anthropic.com, claude.com family), and if you're unsure, contact Anthropic directly to be safe. Exact official figures and Anthropic's latest detailed brand policy can't be fully confirmed from public information alone.
