Can you use Adobe inside Claude? Yes. On April 28, 2026, Anthropic announced a set of creative-tool connectors together with Blender, Autodesk, Adobe, Ableton, Splice and others — and the Adobe for Creativity plugin, built by Adobe itself, is the bridge between Claude and Adobe Creative Cloud. This guide covers what it can do and how to install it, based on the official announcement and the official plugin page.

What is Adobe for Creativity?

Adobe for Creativity is an official plugin made by Adobe and marked Anthropic Verified. Per the official plugin page, it brings together Adobe Creative Cloud tools for images, vectors, design, and video so you can use them from Claude — editing multiple assets at once, adapting content for different platforms, and completing multi-step creative workflows.

According to Adobe's announcement, the connector exposes more than 50 pro-grade tools across Creative Cloud apps including Photoshop, Illustrator, Firefly, Express, Premiere, Lightroom, InDesign, and Stock. You describe the outcome you want, and the connector orchestrates the necessary multi-step workflow across those apps.

What you can do — the six official examples

The official plugin page lists these representative uses:

  • Batch photo editing — "These were shot in mixed lighting — give them all a warm, cinematic look"
  • Portrait retouching — "Process my wedding photos and get them ready to review"
  • Social variations — "Make Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn versions of this image"
  • Design from template — "Design a flyer for our launch event"
  • Video highlights — "Cut the best parts of this video into a 30-second sizzle reel"
  • Resize to spec — "Resize this to 1920×1080 and change the aspect ratio to 16:9"

How to install it

The official route is the plugin page at claude.com/plugins/adobe-for-creativity. As of this writing, the install button on that page targets Claude Cowork, Anthropic's desktop app for knowledge work. Using the Adobe features may require signing in with an Adobe account; follow the prompts shown during setup.

The other creative connectors announced alongside it

Anthropic's April 28, 2026 announcement covered a whole coalition, not just Adobe. Per the announcement, connectors for Ableton (Live and Push), Autodesk Fusion, Blender, Affinity, SketchUp, Splice, and Resolume (Arena and Wire) shipped at the same time. The Blender connector, for example, gives natural-language access to Blender's Python API, and the Splice connector lets you search its royalty-free sample catalog from inside Claude.

Things to keep in mind

  • The point of the integration is not "Claude replaces Adobe" but Claude orchestrating the Adobe tools you already use — Anthropic's announcement emphasized automating repetitive production work and extending workflows.
  • Plugin availability and supported surfaces can change, so check the official plugin page for the latest guidance before installing.
